Sean Edward Whelan

SEAN EDWARD WHELAN.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, 1981. Currently lives & works in Joetsu, Niigata, Japan. In 2002, graduated from the Tasmanian School of Art and has since exhibited work in Australia, the U.S, the U.K. and Japan. Has work in private collections in Australia and Japan. Returns to Australia annually for exhibitions and group shows.

ショーン エドワード ウィラン

1981 オーストラリア メルボルン生まれ。 大学にてグラフィックデザイン、ビデオ製作に関わる技術を学び卒業後、現地のデザイン会社に就職。ウェブデザイン、ショッププロダクトデザイ ン 、グラフィックデザイン、イラストレーション 、 アニメーションなどクライアントデザインを手がける。その後フリーランスを経て2005年に来日。 神社、寺など日本の伝統的な建物に興味を持ち、建物と人々の間にある様々なストーリーなどから イメージを膨らませた空間を鉛筆と紙のみで描いている。毎年オーストラリアにて個展を開催。
