Postcard Show 9 – Nucleus House, Portland
Hey there! 👋🏻 Good news! Nucleus Gallery – a staple of the pop-surrealist scene in Portland, USA – reached out and invited me along to their 9th Postcard Show to show work alongside hundreds of artists both local and international. The brief was open to interpretation, with the only strict instruction being size – 5″ x 7″.
I decided to do some pencil drawings and looked into the history or postcards and the postal history of the area, which inspired these two pieces. This was the first time in a while working in pencil and I forgot how satisfying black and white could be. Maybe more of this in the future!
